Tri-clamp electromagnetic flow meter is a kind of volume flow meter. Tri-clamp electromagnetic flow meter is made of stainless steel, which can be easily disassembled and cleaned quickly, so it is not easily polluted during use, and can effectively prevent the accumulation of measuring fluid residues in the measuring tube. 
Wafer electromagnetic flow meter working: The product is based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction, used to measure the conductance greater than 20 μS/cm volume of conductive liquid flow. In addition to measuring the general volume of conductive liquid flow, but also can be used to measure strong acid, alkali and other strong corrosive liquids and mud, pulp, etc.
Tri-clamp Electromagnetic Flow Meter Advantages and Disadvantages:
Tri-clamp electromagnetic flow meter is easy to be installed and dismantled.
It adopts Harmless food grade stainless steel as raw material, so it can touch with food directly.
It is easy to clean, customer just need open the tri-clamp and dismantle the flow meter, then can start cleaning.
Stainless steel material has long service life, and SS316 is a kind of anti-corrosive stainless steel, so it can be used to measure most of drinks.
Tri-clamp electromagnetic flow meter can withstand high temperature disinfection. For example, milk factory needs steam disinfection once a day or twice a day, tri-clamp is the best choice for their milk flow measurement.
It is easy to delivery. It has small size and light weight so it can save your freight fee.
It has multiple output signals for choose. It has current output and pulse output for connecting with PLC or other devices. And you can also read flow measurement by RS485/HART/Profibus.
Tri-clamp electromagnetic flow meter is mainly used in drinking water, milk, ground water, beer, wine, jam, juice and other food & drink industries. It is also widely used in paper pulp, gypsum slurry because it can be cleaned easily.
It adopts harmless stainless steel material so it can measure food directly. And it can withstand high temperature steam disinfection.
Local display type can withstand -20-60 deg C temperature, remote display can withstand -20-120 deg C.

Electrode material Applications
SUS316L Applicable in water, sewage and low corrosive mediums.
Widely used in industries of petrol, chemistry, carbamide,etc
Hastelloy B Having strong resistance to hydrochloric acid of any consistance which
is below bioling piont.
Resistable against vitriol, phosphate, hydrofluoricacid, organic acid etc which are oxidable acid, alkali and non-oxidable salt.
Hastelloy C Be resistant to oxidable acid such as nitric acid, mixed acid as well as oxidable salt such as Fe+++, Cu++and sea water.
Titanium Applicable in seawater, and kinds of chloride, hypochlorite salt, oxidable acid (including fuming nitric acid), organic acid, alkali etc.
Not resistant to a pure reducing acid(such as sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid corrosion.
But if acid contains antioxidant(such as Fe+++, Cu++) is greatly reduce corrosion.
Tantalum Having strong resistance to corrosive mediums that is similar with glass.
Almost is applicable to all chemical mediums.
Except for hydrofluoric acid,oleum and alkali.

Tri-clamp Electromagnetic Flow Meter Installation & Maintainance
1. The sensor is installed vertically (fluid flows from bottom to top). In this position, when the liquid is not flowing, solid matter will precipitate, and oily matter will not settle on the electrode if it floats up. 
If it is installed horizontally, the pipe must be filled with liquid to avoid air pockets from affecting the measurement accuracy.
2. The inner diameter of the pipe should be the same as the inner diameter of the flow meter to avoid throttling.
3. The installation environment should be far away from strong magnetic field equipment to prevent interference.
4. When using electric welding, the welding port must be far away from the sensor to prevent damage to the lining of the clamp-type electromagnetic flowmeter due to overheating of the sensor or flying in of welding slag.

lnstall at the lowest point and vertical upward direction
Don't install at the highest point or vertical downward diection

When drop is more than 5m, install exhaust
valve at the downstream

lnstall at the lowest point when used in open drain pipe

Need 10D of upstream and 5D of downstream

Dont' install it at the entrance of pump, install it at the exit of pump

lnstall at the rising direction
Routine maintenance: only need to make periodic visual inspections of the instrument, check the environment around the instrument, remove dust and dirt, ensure that no water and other substances enter, check whether the wiring is in good condition, and check whether there are newly installed strong electromagnetic field equipment or newly installed wires near the instrument Cross-instrument. If the measuring medium easily contaminates the electrode or deposits in the measuring tube wall, it should be cleaned and cleaned regularly.
