How to Correctly Select the Liner Material for an Electromagnetic Flow Meter

The liner comes into direct contact with the medium and is the core component that determines the service life of the flow meter.
Clean water, sewage, mild wear: Neoprene rubber or EPDM
Slurry, sand, and other highly abrasive media: Polyurethane (PU)
Strong acids, strong alkalis, chemicals: PTFE / PFA / F46
High-temperature, highly abrasive conditions: Ceramic liner
It should be noted that PTFE offers excellent corrosion resistance but has poor resistance to negative pressure — when the pipeline is evacuated, the liner may become detached or sucked inward. Rubber liners,
on the other hand, generally have a temperature limit of no more than 80°C.
