Key Application Points of Vortex Flow Meters
**Selection:** Suitable for clean single-phase media; filters are required for media containing impurities.
Common flow rates fall within 30%-80% of the flow range.
For trade settlement applications, temperature and pressure compensation is required.
Use smaller diameters rather than larger ones to avoid "large pipe, small flow."
**Installation:** Pre-installed straight pipe section ≥ 5DN, post-installed straight pipe section ≥ 3DN.
Horizontal/vertical installation is acceptable; for vertical installation, gas flows from bottom to top.
Keep away from sources of strong vibration, frequency converters, and other interference.
Install shut-off valves before and after the sensor for easy maintenance and calibration.
**Calibration:** Ensure the factory and initial calibration certificates are valid.
Perform zero-point checks regularly; zero flow indicates no significant signal.
Send the meter to a professional institution for actual flow calibration every 1-2 years.
Verify through process balancing or comparison with a portable ultrasonic flow meter.
