Q&T Ultrasonic Flow Meter
Q&T Ultrasonic flow meters use ultrasonic sensors. The most common type utilizes a principle called propagation time or time of flight.
Propagation Time Flow Meters: Ultrasonic waves are alternately received and transmitted as they travel across the fluid in a pipe at an angle.
When an ultrasonic wave travels through water in the opposite direction of the water flow,
its propagation speed is slower; conversely, when it travels in the same direction as the water flow, its propagation speed is faster.
The difference of ultrasonic flow meter in propagation time between these two ultrasonic waves is converted into flow rate.
